4 die, others injured in Niger road accident

Four persons have been confirmed dead in a road crash that occurred in Niger State, while 13 people were also injured and rushed to the General Hospital.
The accident, which happened along the Agaie-Lapai road on Monday, involved three trailer trucks that had a head-on collision resulting from speeding.
One of the trailers also carried cows and goats, during which 15 of the cows and 20 goats were killed when the driver attempted a wrong overtaking.
The Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Abdullahi Baba-Arah, confirmed the accident in a WhatsApp message to our correspondent stating that his desk officers and volunteers were involved in the rescue operation.
