Abia commissioner passes away at 61

The Abia State Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Mr. Sunny Nwanganga Onwuma, has passed away at the age of 61.
Onwuma, who previously served as the state’s Commissioner for Transport, reportedly died on Monday after a brief illness. His passing has left his wife and four children in mourning.
The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, confirmed the news in a statement on Friday, expressing the government’s deep condolences to Onwuma’s family, friends, and the people of Abia State.
“We fervently pray that God Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Kanu stated.
He added that the late commissioner’s burial arrangements would be announced by his family in due course.
