Autopsy report allegedly reveals cause of death of Nigerian boxer


The autopsy report for late Nigerian boxer Olanrewaju Segun has been released, confirming that he died from sudden cardiac arrest.
Segun tragically passed away on March 30, 2025, during a boxing match in Ghana, prompting ongoing investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to a report shared by popular blogger Temilola Sobola on Instagram, further medical inquiries into his heart condition are underway. As a result, his body will not be released for burial in Nigeria for at least two weeks.
The report stated: “An autopsy was performed on the late boxer, Olanrewaju Segun, and the results confirmed that he died from sudden cardiac arrest. Further investigation into his heart condition is required, and his body will not be released for burial in Nigeria until approximately two weeks.”
Segun’s death sent shockwaves through the boxing community, with many calling for thorough medical screenings for athletes to prevent similar tragedies.
