Bauchi NUJ hails appointment of ex NUJ deputy president as perm sec

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council has commended the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed for appointing his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado as one of the State Permanent Secretary in the state Civil Service.
According to a statement issued by the State Secretary of the NUJ, Isah Garba Gadau and made available to Journalists in Baúchi yesterday, the elevation of former NUJ Deputy President to the position of Permanent Secretary is a welcome development to the Journalists and journalism profession in the state.
Bauchi NUJ explained that the appointment culminates a remarkable journey, from serving as Secretary and Chairman of NUJ Bauchi Council to Zonal Vice President and Deputy National President of NUJ, saying his dedication to journalism and public service led to his appointments as SSA Media and later Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity.
Bauchi council appreciate his unwavering support for Bauchi NUJ and advocacy for the journalism profession.
“We wish you success in your new role while also promising to continue to collaborate for the attainment of the goals of our leader the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.” Statement concluded. END
