Brahim Diaz agrees new Real Madrid’s contract

Real Madrid have secured an agreement to extend Brahim Diaz’s contract.
The Spanish-Moroccan playmaker is expected to sign a new long-term deal with Los Blancos shortly.
Talks between his representatives and the Bernabeu hierarchy are at an advanced stage, with both sides aligned on extending his stay beyond 2027.
It’s seen as a strong vote of confidence from new manager Xabi Alonso, who himself is under contract until 2028. A longer deal for Brahim would be a logical next step.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano first revealed the agreement on Monday, with Tiempo de Juego and AS subsequently confirming the news. Sources close to the player have told BeSoccer that the information is accurate. It remains unclear whether the club intend to make the renewal official during the Club World Cup or wait until the tournament concludes.
The 2025/26 season promises to be a pivotal one for the former Milan and Manchester City man. During the 2024/25 campaign under Carlo Ancelotti, limited rotation meant fewer opportunities, but Brahim still made a personal-best 52 appearances across all competitions, with 23 starts, six goals and six assists.
He played a decisive role in matches such as the Champions League last 16 win over Atletico Madrid. Looking ahead, a long-term future at Real Madrid would further cement his status within the Moroccan national team setup.
The 2025/26 calendar is a busy one for the Atlas Lions: the African Nations Championship begins in August, World Cup qualifiers resume in September, and the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in December. Barring injury, Brahim is expected to be involved throughout.
