Breaking: Tinubu embarks on private visit to France

President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja on Wednesday for a private visit to Paris, France, before heading to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the upcoming African Union (AU) Summit.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Wednesday. According to the statement, Tinubu will participate in the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of AU Heads of State, scheduled to take place from February 12 to 16, 2025.
“The president will arrive in Addis Ababa early next week for the African Union summit,” the statement noted.

While in France, President Tinubu is also expected to meet with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, for discussions on bilateral relations and other key issues.
