Moises Caicedo and the board has decided to open talks with the Ecuadorian midfielder’s camp over a new deal.
Moises Caicedo arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2023 as one of the Premier League’s top prospects and although his first season was not so easy, the Ecuadorian midfielder seems to have won the hearts of the Blues’ fans.
The former Brighton man has played a key role this season under Enzo Maresca and has become one of the most important players in the Stamford Bridge project.
In fact, the Blues’ management is so satisfied with Caicedo’s performance that they have decided to open negotiations with his camp over a new deal, as the current one runs until 2031.
According to Fabrizio Romano, it will not be an urgent matter for the club but they are clear that they want a new contract for Caicedo, who has made 41 appearances so far this season, 39 starts, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
