Church founder speaks out after sponsored pastor allegedly cuts ties with OPM

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has publicly accused a former pastor of the ministry, Ofili Ifeanyi, of abandoning the church after receiving significant support to relocate to the United States.
In a Facebook post titled “Face of Ungratefulness,” Apostle Chinyere revealed that church funds—generated through tithes and offerings—were used to sponsor Ifeanyi’s relocation to head the OPM branch in the U.S. He also claimed to have financially supported the pastor’s green card application.
Despite these efforts, the former U.S. branch head reportedly severed ties with the church. According to the cleric, a new pastor has since taken over the leadership of the American branch.
“Ungratefulness to someone that has never entered a plane in his life,” Apostle Chinyere wrote, referencing Proverbs 17:13: “Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good.”
He warned about the dangers of helping ungrateful individuals and concluded his remarks with a strong spiritual tone: “Let us watch. There is God in heaven.”
