Drama as 2face, Natasha Osawaru make appearance at Edo Election Tribunal

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, made a high-profile appearance at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The singer arrived at the tribunal in the company of Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker representing the Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly and the Deputy Majority Leader.
The tribunal is expected to deliver judgment on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, challenging the victory of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Osawaru, who was elected under the PDP platform, has been vocal in political circles regarding the outcome of the election.
2Baba’s presence at the tribunal stirred discussions, particularly as it comes amid his widely publicized relationship with Osawaru. The singer made headlines earlier this year when he announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, in January. Just weeks later, he proposed to Osawaru, sparking widespread reactions online.
Since their engagement, the couple has been frequently seen together at public events, further fueling speculation about their relationship. Recently, Osawaru updated her Instagram bio to include the surname ‘Idibia,’ solidifying their bond in the public eye.
Their joint appearance at the tribunal has only intensified conversations, with many speculating on the growing influence of their union in both entertainment and political spheres.
