EPL: Arne Slot hails Quansah

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has praised Jarell Quansah’s recent performances.
The coach stated that the 22-year-old defender is finally back to his best after a challenging period for Liverpool this campaign.
Quansah, who started the season as Virgil van Dijk’s preferred centre-back partner, has endured a difficult campaign, but Slot believes he is now returning to the form that saw him impress last season.
His chances were limited under Slot, with the England Under-21 international starting only two Premier League matches and primarily featuring in the Carabao Cup. But Quansah was given another opportunity following Joe Gomez’s hamstring injury, and Slot was quick to acknowledge his improved performance when he came on as a substitute against Wolves.
Speaking after the weekend’s match, Slot praised his resurgence, saying: “Everybody has seen recently already that he did really well and I see in training sessions that he’s back to being the same Jarell in pre-season.”
Slot continued, acknowledging that the defender had struggled after being taken off at Ipswich, but he is now showing the qualities that made him a standout in the previous season. “He’s back to his old level and you can see how important he is,” the Dutch manager concluded.
