EPL: Chelsea agree deal for Portuguese star


Chelsea have agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon for 17-year-old winger Geovany Quenda.
Quenda is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge for a fee of between 45-50 million on a seven-year deal plus one optional.
Chelsea have beaten Manchester United in the race for one of the biggest talents to emerge from Portugal this season. The Blues have agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon for Geovany Quenda.
The 17-year-old winger has been convinced after talks with Enzo Maresca, who has explained the London club’s long-term project.
According to ‘The Athletic’ journalist David Ornstein, the Portuguese youngster will join the Blues in 2026 and sign a seven-year contract with an option for a further year.
Chelsea will pay a fee of between 45 and 50 million for a dazzling winger who despite his young age has been key to his team this season, having made 45 official appearances this season so far, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists so far.
