Ex-minister Ikoh commends APC NEC over vote of confidence on Tinubu, Ganduje

A former minister of state for Science and Technology, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, has described the recent vote of confidence passed in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a step in the right direction.

Recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday 26th February 2025 attended the National Executive Committee meeting of his party, the APC where party leaders passed a confidence vote in him and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Reacting to the development Ikoh described the development, Chief Henry Ikoh, who is also the Governing Council Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Imo State, commended the members of NEC for their well-thought-out decision.

According to the APC chieftain, both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Ganduje, the APC National Chairman have made the ruling party proud as leaders.

He said: “By the action of APC NEC whichshown an unprecedented unity, the party is now placed on a greater footing and better positioned to coast to victory in the forthcoming 2027 presidential and general elections ”

The Abia State born industrialist and APC governorship aspirant for the 2027 election, however appealed for patience from party faithfuls and advised the agrieved party stakeholders to embrace the reconciliation committee about to be set up by the party’s NWC as a way to resolve lingering disputes and grievances.

Chief Ikoh said: “We will always disagree to agree in our democratic practice.”

On the state of the nation, the former Minister expressed confidence in the economic programs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and called on Nigerians to be patient with him as he takes necessary steps to deliver on his mandate and to restore the country to the path of economic growth.

He called on members of the APC to rally round and support the APC National Chairman, describing him as “a performing Chairman with capacity and the experience to lead the party to an overwhelming victory at the 2027 presidential and general elections.”
