Fake N500m mansion testimony: I didn’t know she was lying– Prophet Ebuka Obi

The founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Prophet Ebuka Obi, is currently enmeshed in a controversy over an allegation that he arranges false testimonies in a bid to lure people to “sow seeds” to his Ministry through generous donations.
A recent incident involved a woman that identified herself as Loveth from Enugu State, who narrated how through a prophesy by Obi, her small business blossomed and she acquired a N500million mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
“Zion is the best, this is the last bus stop, I have my evidence here,” the lady proclaimed as video of the state-of-the-art interior of the beautiful mansion was shown to the jubilant congregation.
“This is a mansion, I prophesy, are you claiming this? Stand up and claim it! Receive your favour! Look at this mansion, built by a young lady, so what are you waiting for?” Prophet Ebuka queried the congregation.
However, few hours after the testimony went viral, a real estate agent took to his Facebook page to debunk the claim, insisting that his firm had in January, posted a video of the mansion on social media after it was listed for sale.
Not long after that, the lady behind the said fake testimony was accosted in Enugu where she still operates a local shop.
Following a wave of backlash he has received from critics with many calling for his arrest for engaging in “arrangee testimonies,” Prophet Obi, on Sunday, denied having foreknowledge that the lady was lying to his congregation.
He further blamed his enemies for sponsoring people, including a native doctor, to come to his Outreach to give false testimonies in a bid to pull him down.
Obi said his legal team has already swung into action to investigate the lady and compel her to disclose who sent her to give the bogus testimony in his ministry.
According to him: “No prophet sees everything all the time, which is why I couldn’t detect that this lady was lying.
“I know that some pastors are trying their best to bring me down. This is how they sent one native doctor here to give a fake testimony, but I couldn’t detect it because no prophet sees everything all the time, not even Elijah.
“Now, they have sent this one. We believed her because she even showed us a video where she was in the same house, but we didn’t know that the house didn’t belong to her.
“However, we have sent our legal team to investigate, and after the investigation, she must reveal who sent her to give the fake testimony in my ministry.
“I know that there’s one pastor in Lagos who wants to bring this ministry down, along with two Reverend Fathers in Enugu, Igboland who are also trying to destroy our ministry. They have been sponsoring fake testimonies in this ministry.”
