Fans worry over VeryDarkMan’s health after regaining freedom from EFCC detention

A video of controversial activist VerydarkMan walking with difficulty following his release from detention has gone viral across social media platforms.
VerydarkMan, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on May 2, 2025, regained his freedom on May 6 after nationwide protests and mounting public pressure demanding his release.
However, a now-viral clip that surfaced shortly after his release has raised fresh concerns about his condition. In the video, the social media personality is seen walking stiffly and appearing to struggle with his posture while engaging in a conversation, prompting netizens to question what might have happened during his five-day detention.
The footage has fueled speculation online, with many calling for an investigation into the conditions of his confinement and demanding transparency from the EFCC regarding his treatment.
As of now, neither the activist nor his legal team has publicly addressed the viral video.
