Fuel scarcity: NMDPRA busts filling station manipulating fuel dispensers [VIDEO]

A shocking video circulating on social media has exposed a filling station’s deceitful tactics amidst Nigeria’s ongoing fuel scarcity.
Members of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) caught the station manipulating its fuel pumps to display fuel dispensing, while actually withholding fuel from customers.
The video reveals NMDPRA officials inspecting the fuel pumps, only to discover the fraudulent activity. Although the outcome of the incident is unclear, as the video doesn’t show any consequences for the station attendant or management, the exposé shows the desperation and dishonesty some individuals resort to during times of scarcity.

The NMDPRA’s efforts to curb such malpractices are commendable, and the public is urged to report similar instances to ensure fairness and accountability in the petroleum sector.
As Nigerians continue to face fuel shortages, it’s essential to prioritize transparency and integrity in the industry. The authorities must take stern action against those perpetuating such fraud, ensuring justice and maintaining public trust.
