Governor Bala Mohammed appoints Umar Shira new Bauchi Radio Corporation MD

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed has appointed Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director(MD) of Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC) with immediate effect.
The new MD who is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in media engagement and broadcasting is expected to reposition the BRC for greater efficiency, professionalism and public service excellence.
According to a Press release issued by Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor which was made available to Journalists Monday, “The decision reflects the Governor’s confidence in the leadership capabilities, vast experience, and dedication of Umar Mohammed Shira in the media and communications sector”.
The release added that “As a seasoned professional with a proven track record in media management and broadcasting, Shira is well-equipped to reposition BRC for greater efficiency, professionalism, and public service excellence”.
Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his belief that the new Managing Director will leverage his wealth of experience to enhance the corporation’s role as a credible source of information, education, and entertainment for the people of Bauchi State and beyond.
The Bauchi State Government then urged all staff and stakeholders of Bauchi Radio Corporation to support the new Managing Director in his mandate to improve the station’s operations and service delivery.
The appointment takes immediate effect . END
