Kastina govt, BOI, launch food palliatives for vulnerable groups

The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has launched food palliative distribution to vulnerable groups across the state. This initiative is a result of a collaborative effort between the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Katsina State Government, implemented through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
The launching ceremony, which began Thursday, targets vulnerable individuals and communities, including widows, orphans, and internally displaced persons. This humanitarian effort is part of BOI’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, aimed at alleviating the suffering of vulnerable populations in Katsina State.
Reacting to the initiative, Governor Radda expressed profound gratitude to the Bank of Industry for their support, stating, “This palliative measure will significantly contribute to our government’s efforts in addressing the needs of vulnerable groups in our state. We are thankful for BOI’s timely intervention and their commitment to corporate social responsibility.”
In his remarks, the MD of the Bank of Industry, Mr. Olasupo Olusi, reaffirmed BOI’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between government agencies and private sector organizations in addressing humanitarian challenges.
The Executive Secretary of SEMA, Hajiya Binta Hussaini Dangani, commended the Bank of Industry for their proactive approach, noting that the support will complement the state government’s ongoing initiatives to provide relief to those in need.
The Katsina State Government remains committed to ensuring the equitable distribution of these palliatives and will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to improve the welfare of its citizens.
