NYSC issues crucial update on 2025 batch ‘A’ stream 2 orientation

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that call-up numbers for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 prospective corps members will be released within the next 24 hours.
In an official statement released on Monday, the NYSC management disclosed that the release of call-up numbers will be based on the order of registration on the NYSC portal.
However, the announcement came with an important caveat: only about 40 percent of registered prospective corps members (PCMs) will be able to participate in the upcoming orientation exercise, due to limited capacity across orientation camps in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
“Please, note that due to camp capacity across the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, only about 40 percent of registered Prospective Corps Members can be accommodated for the upcoming orientation programme,” the statement read.
The NYSC further assured that PCMs who do not receive call-up letters for Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 will not be left behind. According to the management, those who are not selected for this stream will be automatically moved to Batch B, which will commence shortly after the conclusion of the current stream.
The management reiterated its commitment to delivering a seamless orientation experience and a successful service year for all corps members.
The NYSC orientation course is a mandatory three-week exercise that marks the beginning of the national service year. It includes physical training, skill acquisition programs, lectures, and cultural displays, all aimed at promoting unity and preparing young Nigerians for national development roles.
