Panic as IBEDC staff electrocuted while fixing power line

A tragic incident unfolded in Ibadan, Oyo State, as a staff member of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) was electrocuted while working on a power line opposite the WAEC office in the bustling city center.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the harrowing moment the technician became stuck atop an electric pole, visibly unresponsive, as horrified bystanders watched helplessly from below. The atmosphere was tense as passersby looked on in distress, waiting for help to arrive.
Moments later, fellow IBEDC staff members bravely scaled the pole in an urgent rescue effort. The victim was eventually brought down and rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, where he is currently receiving medical attention according to reports.
As of the time of filing this report, the condition of the injured technician remains unclear. Neither IBEDC nor emergency responders have issued an official statement regarding the incident.
