Portable apologises to Saheed Osupa over copyright dispute


Nigerian singer Portable has issued a public apology to veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa after previously lashing out over the removal of his song from streaming platforms due to alleged copyright infringement.
The controversy began after Portable used a line from Osupa’s song, prompting the Fuji star and his distribution team to take action, leading to the track’s removal from Spotify and Apple Music. Initially, Portable reacted angrily to the takedown, but in a recent video on his Instagram page, he admitted regret over his outburst, attributing it to his hot temper.
“My fans, I am a hot-tempered person. I have spoken my mind, and it’s over. King Saheed Osupa, please forgive me. Money was what almost came between us. I wanted to collect my money, and when I heard the song was removed, I got upset. Please forgive me. My fans, help me beg him,” Portable pleaded.
His apology comes after intense backlash from fans who urged him to show more respect to Osupa, a widely respected figure in the Fuji music industry.
