Portable increases performance fee after securing bail

Nigerian singer Portable has announced an increase in his performance fee just days after being granted bail.
The controversial artiste, who was recently entangled in legal issues over allegations of assaulting government officials, was released after pleading not guilty and meeting his bail condition of N2 million.
Following his release, Portable took to Instagram to declare that he is now focused on making money rather than trouble. He revealed that his show fee has been revised to N20 million, warning that those who cannot meet his demand should stay away.
“Zazuu, na money I dey look for, I no dey look for wahala again. If you get N20M for show, japa. As dog dey run, money dey go. DM for show bookings, I dey active,” he wrote.
His statement has since sparked mixed reactions from fans and industry watchers, with many questioning whether promoters would be willing to pay the new fee.
