Real Madrid’s Eder Militao to miss 2025 Club World Cup

Real Madrid have decided not to force Eder Militao to play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, as the Brazilian will not be fully fit until pre-season starts in July.
Real Madrid have had to cope with defensive problems for much of the season after Eder Militao ruptured cruciate knee ligaments in early November.
There was speculation that the Brazilian’s recovery was more advanced than expected, but Spanish newspaper “AS” recently reported that the 27-year-old centre-back will not play in the 2025 Club World Cup to be held in the United States in June.
The “Merengues” board have decided not to force Militao as they expect him to be fully fit once the pre-season starts in July, so they do not want to risk the Brazilian suffering a relapse in June.
The one who could feature for Real Madrid at the Club World Cup is Dani Carvajal, whose recovery from his cruciate ligament injury is more advanced than the centre-back’s and who could be fully recovered before the tournament starts.
