Transfer: Arsenal to pay over €60m for Zubimendi in instalment deal

Arsenal have agreed to pay slightly over €60 million to trigger Martin Zubimendi’s release clause in their deal with Real Sociedad.
The fee will be a little higher than initially reported, but the clubs have arranged for the payment to be made in instalments, reflecting their excellent working relationship.
The expected transfer marks a strategic move by Arsenal to replace Thomas Partey.
Zubimendi is likely to play a key role in Mikel Arteta’s evolving tactical setup, which favours a box-to-box midfield approach.
The strong bond between Arsenal and Real Sociedad, forged through previous transactions, has helped smooth negotiations, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Spaniard’s arrival signals the English club’s commitment to strengthening their midfield with younger talent, in line with the coach’s vision for a more dynamic and resilient squad ahead of the new campaign.
