VeryDarkMan threatens legal action against EFCC if…

Controversial Nigerian activist and social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has issued a stern warning to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), vowing legal action should the agency label him a money launderer following his recent detention.
In a video posted to his Instagram account, VDM recounted details of his arrest and expressed concern over what he described as potential image manipulation by the anti-graft agency. “They took my picture, and I strongly believe they might write ‘money laundering’ on it if they release it publicly,” he said. “They can write anything else, but if they mention money laundering, I’m heading straight to court.”
The outspoken activist, who has built a large following through his often explosive commentary on national issues, disclosed that the EFCC has yet to return his confiscated phone. This, he said, has left him unable to access key digital platforms, further frustrating his efforts to speak out. “I had to buy a new phone, but I couldn’t log into my iCloud. That phone has too much information. Even my WhatsApp isn’t working,” he lamented.
VDM didn’t stop at the EFCC. He also took aim at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), accusing the financial institution of releasing a “fake video” concerning his case. “GTBank released a fake video of me,” he claimed, adding that the footage misrepresented facts surrounding his ordeal.
While details of the video remain unclear, the allegation has added fuel to an already tense situation. VDM hinted that more revelations would be made public soon, promising a full exposé on his experience. “I’m still coming back to say more,” he teased, suggesting that his battle with the authorities is far from over.
In a climate where trust in institutions is often tested, VeryDarkMan’s bold stance and vow to fight back have positioned him as a figure of resilience and defiance.
