Vinicius speaks on Madrid’s chances of winning Club World Cup

Vinicius Jr. spoke to ‘Real Madrid TV’ about Real Madrid’s aspirations for the Club World Cup.

The winger, who has joined training in Palm Beach after playing for Brazil, explained that he had already spoken with Xabi Alonso and assured that the synergies are good.

Real Madrid is gearing up in Palm Beach (Florida) for its debut in the Club World Cup against Al-Hilal.

Though before the match, Vinicius Jr. gave his first words after starting to train with Xabi Alonso. The winger was happy on ‘Real Madrid TV’ and made it clear that the ambition is to win the title.

“We are eager to win this first World Cup because people never forget the first one and it is the only title that Madrid doesn’t have. We’re going for it,” assured ‘Vini’, who spoke of the conditions they have in the middle of the Florida summer, having to play in the middle of the day.

“It’s very hot. The game is at three in the afternoon and we have to be prepared because it’s going to be very tough,” acknowledged the Real Madrid striker. The striker met with his teammates directly at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach, without traveling from Spain after the FIFA date.

There, Vinicius played the double date of the South American qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, against which he scored a goal under the guidance of his new coach and former Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti: “I arrived on Saturday night. I’ve met up with my friends, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. I’m very happy and ready to adapt to the schedule, the heat, the climate and everything. We are all here ready.

With the new signings, Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, he acknowledged that he has not yet had time to socialize much: “I have spoken very little with them, but I’m happy that they have come to help us and hopefully it will be a nice time for them here”.

Finally, he showed his desire to work with Xabi Alonso: “We are training very hard, although this time it has been a little quieter because of the trip. We are already preparing for the matches. I had already spoken to the coach before. I’m very happy and we have to keep working to win a lot of things with him”.
