“Your honour is a call to greater service” — RHATWF celebrates Onanuga, Morka on CON awards

The Way Forward (RHATWF) group has congratulated Mr. Bayo Onanuga and Barr. Felix Morka on their conferment of the national honour, Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2025 Democracy Day celebration.
In a joint congratulatory message signed by Hon. Sam Atasia Oburu, National Chairman and Convener; Alhaji Ahmed Sajoh, Chief Administrator and Leader; and Frank S. Nwaforbe, Acting National Publicity Secretary, the group described the honour as “a well-deserved recognition of excellence and commitment to nation-building.”
“We are proud to associate with Mr. Bayo Onanuga and Barr. Felix Morka,” the statement read. “Their conferment with the prestigious CON title is not just a celebration of personal achievements, but a validation of selfless service, unwavering dedication, and intellectual rigour in service to the nation.”
Speaking further, the RHATWF leaders noted that the awards reflect the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Tinubu.
“This honour, bestowed on June 12 — a day of deep national significance — reaffirms the importance of principled leadership and patriotism in our democratic journey,” said Hon. Sam Atasia Oburu.
“For us at RHATWF, this is more than an award; it is a challenge to remain focused and resolute in delivering value to the Nigerian people.”
Alhaji Ahmed Sajoh added that the duo’s contributions have laid a strong foundation for national growth:
“Both Onanuga and Morka have shown what it means to serve with honour and vision,” he said. “We believe they will continue to be shining lights for good governance and professional integrity.”
Frank S. Nwaforbe, speaking on behalf of the publicity team, encouraged younger professionals to see the recognition as a model of excellence.
“Their stories should inspire the next generation — that commitment and competence still count, and that our nation rewards those who build, not just those who complain,” he said.
The RHATWF concluded its message by expressing optimism about the future:
“We celebrate you both and look forward to your continued impactful service to our great nation. Once again, congratulations,” the group affirmed.
The Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) is one of Nigeria’s highest honours, awarded to individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the country in various fields.
