You’re the most security conscious governor, IIPS honours Radda

The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, has been awarded the prestigious title of “Most Security Conscious Governor of the Year 2023/2024” by the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS).
The award was presented during the 2024 International Security Conference and Award ceremony held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The award recognizes Governor Radda’s outstanding commitment and innovative approaches to enhancing security in Katsina State.
His proactive measures and strategic initiatives have significantly improved the safety and well-being of Katsina residents, setting a benchmark for other states in Nigeria.
Representing the Governor at the ceremony was the Katsina State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Muazu.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of Governor Radda for the recognition and reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to maintaining and further improving security measures.
Governor Radda, upon receiving news of the award, stated, “This recognition by the IIPS is a testament to our collective efforts in Katsina State to ensure the safety of our citizens.
While I am deeply honoured, this award belongs to every security personnel, community leader, and citizen who has contributed to our security initiatives. We remain committed to creating a safer Katsina for all.”
The award underscores the Radda administration’s multifaceted approach to security, including the establishment of Katsina Community Watch Corps, advanced technology deployment, and collaborative efforts with federal security agencies.
The Katsina State Governor, Malam Radda was honoured alongside other prominent dignitaries, including Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola CON; Executive Governor of Zamfara State, HE Dauda Lawal; Executive Governor of Sokoto State, HE Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto; Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo; Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Alia; Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu; National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu; Senator Muhammed Sani Musa; Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dewan K. Gabriel and Alhaji Kola Raheem Adesina.
