Residents beat 2 cable thieves

Two cable thieves were intercepted and beaten before they were tied to electric poles at Amuloko area, in the Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State.
They were apprehended while conveying the vandalised electric cable with their motorcycle.
In a viral video on Sunday, the thieves were stripped naked, tied to the poles while the stolen cable was placed beside them.
According to one of them identified as Lekan, they came from Oremeji area of Ibadan to commit the crime.
Meanwhile, all efforts to get the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso’s reactions were proved abortive as his telephone number was not reachable.
