Armed robber gang reportedly attack UBA


Gunmen on Friday reportedly attacked a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) located in Ughelli, Delta State.
The incident began when the unidentified gunmen opened fire at the bank premises in an attempt to carry out the robbery.
According to social media reports, the robbers, suspected to have trailed a bank customer, intercepted him outside the bank and swiftly began their assault.
The gunmen reportedly faced resistance from police officers stationed at the bank, leading to a fierce exchange of gunfire.
During the exchange, the robbers reportedly shot and injured two individuals and abducted another before fleeing the scene.
Reports said that the assailants used a gold-colored Toyota Venza as their getaway vehicle.
Delta State Police PPRO, SP Bright Edafe is yet to confirm the incident.
