9-year-old child dies, 4 others severely burned in Mubi arson attack

A devastating incident has occurred in Mubi Local Government Area, Adamawa State, resulting in the tragic loss of a 9-year-old child and severe burns to four others.
The victims, all children of Daniel Cha’ama, were caught in a fire intentionally set by Nicodemus Ajaku, a neighbor embroiled in a land dispute with Cha’ama.
In a shocking case of mistaken identity, Ajaku allegedly targeted Cha’ama’s room but instead set fire to the room where the children were sleeping.
Ajaku, now at large, fled the village after the attack.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, assures that the culprit will be apprehended and prosecuted.
However, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankwambo, has directed assistance to the victims receiving treatment.
This senseless act of violence has left a family in mourning and a community in shock.
