Jigawa: Buhari expresses grief over dozens affected in oil tanker explosion


Former President Muhammadu Buhari has conveyed his sorrow over the oil tanker explosion that killed dozens of people and injured dozens of others in Jigawa State.
The former President described the mishap as “the deadliest of such tragedies witnessed in the country’s recent experience.”
In a statement signed Wednesday in Abuja by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the government and the people of Jigawa state.
“The oil tanker mishap at Majiya, Jigawa State is utterly painful.
“My thoughts and prayers are with all those who lost near and dear ones. I pray that the injured recover quickly.”
