Breaking: Dangote Refinery slashes petrol price

Dangote Refinery has announced a price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
The refinery, in a statement issued on Sunday and signed by Anthony Chiejina, its Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, confirmed the development.
According to the statement, the price of petrol, which was previously set at ₦990 per litre, has been reviewed downward to ₦970 per litre. This reduction applies to marketers sourcing their products directly from the refinery.
Thediscovererng.com reports that the decision comes as part of efforts to maintain competitive pricing and ensure affordability for marketers and consumers amid fluctuating market dynamics. The adjustment is expected to bring some relief to the downstream oil sector while reflecting Dangote Refinery’s responsiveness to economic factors influencing fuel distribution in Nigeria.
