The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Olusola Odumosu, has lauded the resilience of his personnel at maintaining peace and tranquility across the FCT this yelutide season.
Commandant Odumosu, stated this when he embarked on monitoring of the security situation around some areas in the FCT.
The FCT helmsman, asserted that the overwhelming presence of his personnel at their designated places on surveillance was a testament to the determination of the corps as a whole to ensure that the FCT residents have a joyous and hitch free celebrations.
The protection of the FCT residents and the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure is paramount to us as an organization at this time of the year and my men both the armed personnel and those on covert operation are all ready to give this National assignment its best, Commandant Odumosu,stated.
He maintained that the FCT Command in synergy with other security agencies will ensure that residents of the FCT go about their celebrations without fear of being harassed by men of the under world.
” At this point we can not allow miscreants and vandals to take advantage of the celebration mood to perpetrate evil against the state and it’s inhabitants, my men are on 24 hours surveillance around dark spots to make sure no evil doers succeeds in their devilish plots this season”.
Commandant Odumosu and his monitoring team who went round the metropolis to assertain the level of calm called on the residents of the FCT to go about their celebrations without fear but report at once any suspicious person or persons to the nearest security office to them.
He commended the ongoing developmental strides of the Minister of the FCT Bar. Nyesom Wike and urged residents of the FCT to be a part of giving the capital city a face lift by protecting all government installations in their visinity as well as report any act of vandalism as prompt as possible.
The FCT Commandant, used the opportunity to wish the residents of the FCT a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2025 ahead.
