Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the quest for an independent Yoruba Nation in 2025.
Declaring that the movement for self-determination is non-negotiable, Igboho called on all Yoruba sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, to unite and prepare for the journey ahead.
In a New Year message delivered through his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, Igboho expressed hope that 2025 would mark the realization of Yoruba sovereignty. He emphasized the collective commitment of the Yoruba people to achieving freedom, urging them to actively participate in peaceful rallies and protests to amplify their demand for self-determination.
“Our watchword remains ‘No going back,’” Igboho declared. “This is the time for unity, courage, and focus. We are resolute in our mission, and we call on all Yoruba sons and daughters to be prepared for what lies ahead.”
He further assured his followers that peaceful demonstrations would continue as a means of asserting their rights. “Do not fear—this is a movement that will bring about the change we all desire. The journey may be challenging, but our destination is clear, and our victory is certain.”
Calling for determination and organization, Igboho encouraged the Yoruba people to remain steadfast in their pursuit of independence. “This is not the time for hesitation. We must sit up, organize, and move forward together. As we step into this new season, we are closer than ever to achieving our dreams.”
