Speed Darlington’s legal team cuts ties after release from jail

Popular Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has parted ways with his legal team following his recent release from jail.
The announcement was made by his lawyer, Stan Alieke, who disclosed that he and his law firm, Law Capitol, would no longer represent the controversial artist.
It would be recalled that Speed Darlington had spent two months in jail over a dispute involving fellow artist Burna Boy. His legal team had played a significant role in securing his release, but it seems the relationship has now come to an end.
In a statement shared by Stan Alieke, the lawyer confirmed the decision to sever ties with the musician, stating:
“I and my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington or Akpi, and henceforth cease to act as his legal attorneys.”
Although no reasons were provided for the withdrawal, the announcement has sparked curiosity among fans and observers of the artiste’s eventful career.
