A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has been spotted undergoing punishment at the NYSC camp in Adamawa after reportedly confronting a soldier who allegedly broke his phone.
The incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user, @Nifemi_Bill, who claimed that the corper in question was his friend. According to him, the soldier mistakenly damaged his friend’s phone, prompting the corper to demand accountability. However, instead of addressing the situation, the soldier allegedly ordered him to assume a strenuous “motorcycle riding” stance as punishment.
Sharing a video of the ordeal, @Nifemi_Bill wrote:
“One of our guys went to Adamawa for NYSC camp. We have not been able to contact him for days, and we thought it was a network issue. You guys won’t believe what happened
A soldier broke his phone mistakenly, and he para. Naso them punish First Class Graduate o ”
He further revealed that they only became aware of the incident after someone randomly saw the video on TikTok and sent it to them.
“Someone randomly saw that video on TikTok and sent it to us. He’s probably still under punishment till now, who knows ♂️”
Following mixed reactions to his post, @Nifemi_Bill clarified that his intention was not to chase clout, urging people to focus on seeking help for his friend rather than making dismissive comments.
“I’m sorry for the laughing emoji I used. A lot of people are misunderstanding the post for clout. Why would I use my guy to chase clout? Others are pushing their agenda with it. The best you can do is retweet or tag someone that can help and keep those ‘it can never be me’ comments.”
