La Liga: Real Madrid announce squad for Girona clash as Bellingham miss out

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced Real Madrid squad for Girona La Liga Sunday clash.

Real Madrid are back to La Liga action after demolishing Man City securing their place into the Champions League last 16 midweek. ‘Los Blancos’ welcome Girona at the Santiago Bernabeu, aiming for three points to keep them close to Barcelona, who sit in joint-first place in the Spanish top flight thanks to a better goal difference.

The ‘Merengues’ will be without midfielder Bellingham after he was handed a two-match suspension for his infamous f*** off towards referee Munuera Montero last week against Osasuna. Defensive duo Carvajal and Militao, who are ruled out due to long-term injuries, make up the list of absentees for the clash.

For Girona’s visit to the Spanish capital, Carlo Ancelotti has avoided making too many changes from the matchday squad chosen for Guardiola’s City side.

The only exception – alongside Bellingham’s absence – is that Fran Gonzalez has been included as third-choice goalkeeper instead of Sergio Mestre.
