Griezmann dismisses MLS rumours

Atletico Madrid star Antonio Griezmann, has dismissed report of moving to MLS
The month of March is coming to a close and the various teams are pressing on in the final stretch of the season. However, the sports management is already working on next season.
Renewals or contract terminations are the order of the day and, without a doubt, one of the most talked about in recent days has been that of Antoine Griezmann. Despite having a contract until 2026, the French footballer was being approached by the MLS.
This international break has been key for Atletico and ‘Grizi’ to meet to bring positions closer. And, according to ‘AS’, the harmony between both parties has been good and everything points to follow the stipulated path.
Although no specific proposal has been made, Atletico have made it clear to the Frenchman that he is important and they are counting on him. For his part, Griezmann has always said that he would like to retire in MLS, although, for the moment, it seems that he has a long time to go and wants to continue offering his best performance as a ‘Colchonero’.
The importance of the player for Cholo Simeone is crucial. He is the second player in the squad with the most games and minutes played. Although he has had a drop in performance and has been more irregular, his figures still support him: 16 goals, 8 assists and 36 starts so far this season. Undoubtedly, the Madrid side continue to trust in one of the club’s legends despite his age.
