2Face ex-wife, Annie, breaks silence after divorce

Nollywood actress and reality TV star, Annie Macaulay, has made a dramatic return to social media, expressing gratitude to her loved ones after wiping her Instagram clean.
In a heartfelt post, the actress thanked her family, friends, and supporters for standing by her during a difficult period.
“To my family, to my friends who came through for me, the support system I have now, all my amazing family HERE and all over the world. God Bless you for the outpouring of love. I appreciate every single one of you and I do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favor. God Bless You All. Lots of LOVE. Annie Uwana Macaulay,” she wrote.
Annie’s return to Instagram on March 26, 2025, was first noticed when she liked a post by actress Ini Edo. However, fans quickly observed that she had deleted all previous posts, leaving only an old story highlight of her daughter, Olivia. Interestingly, some previously posted reels, including those featuring her estranged husband, 2Baba, remained on her page.
Her social media reset comes after months of silence following her public separation from the legendary musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia. In January 2025, 2Baba confirmed their split in a now-deleted Instagram post, revealing, “Annie and I have been separated for a while now and have filed for divorce.” He later doubled down during a live session, clarifying that his account had not been hacked.
Speculations surrounding their separation included reports that Annie had sought treatment at a rehabilitation center. However, upon her return to Instagram, she addressed the situation subtly, stating, “I chose to step back,” signaling a personal journey of healing.
Her comeback has sparked a wave of reactions, with fans and well-wishers flooding her comments with words of encouragement as she navigates this new chapter.
