Tinubu urges governors to focus on delivering results, ignore critics

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on governors across Nigeria to remain focused on delivering tangible results that improve the lives of their people.
Urging them to disregard armchair critics who merely seek to distract from the work at hand.
“Let the people be at the heart of your programmes. Your hard work and concrete achievements will answer any criticism. Ignore distractions—your results will speak for you,” the President advised during a two-day visit to Katsina.
The President made these remarks while commissioning a 24 km road and the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre, both of which were completed under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umar Radda.
President Tinubu commended Governor Radda for significantly impacting agriculture, healthcare, education, and infrastructure in less than two years.
“Farming will be our source of prosperity and growth. We should remove ourselves from reliance on oil and commit to agriculture,” President Tinubu said, highlighting the potential of agriculture to drive prosperity and growth.
The President announced plans to resuscitate the Bank of Agriculture, which will provide funds for large, medium, and small-scale farming. “The Bank of Agriculture is being revitalised. When resuscitated, the bank will make funds available for large, medium and small-scale farming,” he stated.
Governor Radda reported that the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre will serve the 34 local councils in the state and that 400 tractors had been purchased with the federal government’s N25 billion intervention. The event was attended by several governors, former governors, and ministers.
