Abia 2027: Alex Otti’s hometown king honours, endorses Henry Ikoh

In a dramatic shift at the weekend, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former minister of State Science and Technology, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, has been honoured at Nne-ise Nvosi, the hometown of the Abia State Governor of Abia, Alex Otti.

Nne-ise Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South LGA is famous for it’s strategic contributions to the economic development of the state and the Nation.

Other values for which the community and LGA is known for includes being the host community to the Abia State Airport project site and also boast of prominent sons and daughters of Abia state who have contributed meaningfully to the well-being of the Nation.

The royal father and paramount ruler of Nne-ise Nvosi, His Royal Majesty Eze Professor N. O. Dike, at weekend bestowed a chieftancy title on the Ozurumba Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh at his palace in recognition of his sterling qualities and humanitarian conducts.

At the occasion, the King also endorsed Henry Ikoh as the “Ohia Chere Agu I ” of Nvosi Isiala Ngwa.

The traditional ruler described Chief Ikoh as a humble, honest and selfless illustrious son of Abia state, who has served the state, the nation and humanity patriotically.

Speaking with newsmen at the event on the chieftancy title, Chief Ikoh said: “I will continue to see myself as a member of this community and I will never let you down.”

He thanked the King, Prof. N. O. Dike for the privilege, honour and confidence reposed on him.

He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for citing the Abia Airport in the community.

He, however called on Abians to reward Tinubu for what he has done by re-electing him as president in 2027.

Ikoh described the Airport project as one that is capable of boosting the economy of the state and creating jobs opportunities for all.

The coronation was well attended by dignitaries that cut across every section of the society.
