Abuja tech giant launches MyGSMVillage repairs platform in Nigeria

Abuja-based software and cloud development company, TechBooky Elite, has launched MyGSMVillage, an online platform designed to connect smartphone users with certified repair technicians.
The service aims to simplify and digitize the phone repair industry in Nigeria.
MyGSMVillage operates as an online marketplace, allowing users to request repairs for various smartphone issues, including cracked screens, battery problems, and software malfunctions.
Team Lead at TechBooky, Paul Oluwafemi Balo, explained that customers can access the service through the website,
MyGSMVillage.com, where they select their device and the specific issue.
The platform then matches them with vetted repair engineers in their local area.
Users have the option of on-site repairs or can utilize the platform’s logistics partners for device pickup and delivery.
TechBooky Elite said it emphasizes the vetting process for both technicians and logistics partners, ensuring reliability and security.
“MyGSMVillage aims to provide a convenient, efficient, and secure solution for smartphone repairs.
“We understand the importance of smartphones in daily life and want to minimize downtime for users,” Mr. Balo said.
Key features of the platform includes the engagement of verified technicians. TechBooky noted that repair engineers are vetted for expertise and reliability.
Other features are: Secure Transactions; Logistics Integration; AI-Powered Support and Integrated Chat.
The platform offers secure payment processing and ensures trusted logistics partners provide pickup and delivery services.
Also, an AI system assists with task descriptions and communication and a chat system facilitates communication between customers and technicians.
Currently, MyGSMVillage is launching in Abuja and Lagos, with plans to expand to ten additional states in Nigeria within the next three months.
Founded in 2015, the company seeks to revolutionize the phone repair industry by providing a streamlined and accessible service.
The platform includes a read-me guide for users navigating the service.
