Adeboye gives new instruction to Nigerians

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer for the country, especially in the face of growing challenges.
Speaking during the RCCG’s April Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, April 6, Pastor Adeboye reiterated the need for spiritual vigilance, pointing to his earlier prophecy that 2025 would witness a rise in fire-related incidents. According to him, the increase in fire outbreaks across Nigeria is a clear confirmation of the prophecy delivered at the beginning of the year.
Adeboye said there’s more reason than ever to keep praying.
‘Its not the time to give up,” the revered cleric told his congregation.
Adeboye also encouraged members to stay committed to the church’s ongoing 100-day prayer and fasting programme, describing it as a vital spiritual exercise for both personal and national transformation.
In a lighter moment during the service, the respected pastor referenced the backlash he received from a social media user, popularly known as Seaking, who had earlier criticised him for declaring the 100-day fast. Seaking, a popular TikToker, had called the pastor “stupid” in a viral video that sparked controversy online.
Addressing the comment, Adeboye said jokingly, “You remember when they called me stupid for declaring 100 days of fasting? Let them call me anything they like.”
Despite the criticism, Pastor Adeboye maintained his position on the spiritual importance of fasting and prayer, urging Christians not to be discouraged by negative voices but to focus on God’s promises and Nigeria’s healing.
