Bayern remain favorite to sign Jonathan Tah

Bayern Munich remain the clear candidates to land Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah on a free transfer, although Barcelona are also interested in him.

Jonathan Tah has once again been indispensable for Bayer Leverkusen in another great season for the club, who despite failing to defend the title, have secured their place in next season’s Champions League for the second year in a row.

However, the German centre-back will not be playing in the prestigious European competition with the German club, but will instead possibly play for their biggest rivals in the Bundesliga.

In recent weeks it has been reported that Bayern Munich are clear candidates to sign Tah after the end of the season, as the player will be a free agent after not renewing his contract with Leverkusen.

Although Barcelona are also reportedly interested in Tah, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Germans are leading the race to sign the player, who has an offer on the table and has not yet reached an agreement with the Allianz Arena outfit.
