Breaking: INEC frustrates Natasha Akpoti recall petition over incomplete contact details

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has halted the recall petition against Natasha Akpoti due to incomplete contact information.
According to INEC, the petitioners provided only the lead petitioner’s phone number and an incomplete address (“Okene, Kogi State”), falling short of the requirements outlined in Clause 1(f).
The petition, which garnered 474,554 signatures from 902 polling units, will be put on hold until the petitioners provide the necessary contact details.
INEC also urged the public to disregard speculation circulating on social media and awaits the completion of the petitioners’ information to proceed with the verification process using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
