Breaking: Port Harcourt refinery begins operation

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State has officially resumed crude oil processing.
Femi Soneye, NNPCL’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, disclosed the development on Tuesday, stating that the refinery has commenced operations at 60% capacity. It is currently processing 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd).
This marks a significant step forward in Nigeria’s efforts to reduce reliance on imported refined petroleum products and enhance local refining capacity.
