Breaking: Tight security surrounds APC NEC meeting

Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have assembled at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja for its highly anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
Security has been significantly heightened around the venue on Blantyre Street, with a combined team of armed operatives, including soldiers from the Guards Brigade, cordoning off all access points. Vehicular and pedestrian movements have been restricted, and journalists have been barred from entry despite an official accreditation list released earlier by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
Among the early arrivals are members of the National Working Committee (NWC), the Forum of State Chairmen, former Zamfara State governor Abdulaziz Yari, Minister of Budget and National Planning Atiku Bagudu, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas are also expected to attend the meeting.
The NEC gathering follows a national caucus meeting held a day earlier at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
