Hellen Ati, the alleged baby mama of renowned socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest, has reportedly been hospitalized following bouts of depression and repeated suicidal thoughts.
This development was disclosed by her lawyer and close friend, who took to social media on January 26, 2025, to shed light on Hellen’s worsening mental health amidst the ongoing paternity controversy surrounding her son, Pascal Okechukwu.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hellen’s lawyer shared a video of her in the hospital, accompanied by a lengthy caption detailing the mental and emotional toll the situation has taken on her. The lawyer alleged that Hellen’s struggles stem from Cubana Chief Priest’s refusal to acknowledge the child, coupled with the harassment she has faced both online and offline.
The post revealed that this isn’t Hellen’s first encounter with suicidal thoughts. According to the lawyer, Hellen has attempted to take her life on three occasions. “This is the third time she has tried to end her life, once even threatening to throw herself and her baby from a fourth-floor balcony,” the lawyer disclosed.
The lawyer further accused Cubana Chief Priest of neglect and emotional abuse, claiming that his actions have pushed Hellen into a dark mental space. “Her late mother’s memory haunts her, and she often talks about wanting to find happiness in another realm,” the lawyer wrote, expressing deep concern for Hellen’s safety and that of her child.
In a direct plea to Cubana Chief Priest, the lawyer urged him to take responsibility for the child and end the alleged torment. “Be a man with a human heart. If you’re so certain about the paternity, sponsor the DNA test. We’re ready to cover the cost, but you must do the needful afterward. Pascal Okechukwu is your son, and there’s no doubt about it,” the lawyer asserted.

The post also highlighted the lawyer’s frustration with the insults Hellen has endured from Nigerians and the perceived lack of empathy from Cubana Chief Priest. “This is a matter of life and death. If anything happens to Hellen and her son, I will never forgive you,” the lawyer warned.
As of now, Cubana Chief Priest has not issued any statement regarding the allegations. Meanwhile, the situation has sparked widespread reactions online, with many calling for a swift resolution to the matter to protect Hellen’s mental health and well-being.
