Drama as FG enlists Yahaya Bello, Akpabio in case against Senator Natasha

The Federal Government has filed criminal charges against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over statements she made on national television alleging a plot to assassinate her.
The charge sheet lists Yahaya Bello, Godswill Akpabio, and Sandra Duru among others as witnesses in the case.
According to the charges, Natasha allegedly made imputations that could harm the reputation of individuals, an offense punishable under Section 392 of the Penal Code Law.
The statements in question were made during an interview where Natasha accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to have her assassinated.
Natasha had previously raised alarms about threats to her life linked to influential figures in Nigeria’s political class.
She claimed Akpabio and Bello were behind the alleged plot, stating that Akpabio had directed Bello to commence her recall and fund it, and also to kill her in a way that would make it seem like the people of Kogi State were responsible.
The case has created controversy, with Natasha’s allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio and her subsequent suspension from the Senate for “misconduct” still unresolved.
