“I’m not kidnapped,” my wife reading a script – ex-Rivers HoS clarifies

Former Rivers State Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, has refuted claims by his wife, Florence Nwaeke, that he has been kidnapped.
In a video released early Saturday, Nwaeke dismissed his wife’s statement as false, suggesting that she had been misled and given a script to read. He clarified that he is safe and currently in Abuja, where he voluntarily presented himself to security agencies over recent developments in Rivers State.
“I am in TRANSCORP Abuja. I arrived this morning from Port Harcourt to meet with security agencies and report myself, as well as the troubling events happening in Rivers State. I resigned as Head of Service on Monday because of these developments,” he stated.
His remarks come after Florence Nwaeke raised concerns about his safety, claiming she was unable to reach him following his resignation and alleging that the person seen in a recent interview making allegations against Governor Siminalayi Fubara did not appear to be her husband.
Nwaeke’s denial has sent the social media abuzz, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding his resignation and his wife’s distress call.
